An efficient, durable voltage regulator for DC pump flow reduction

This durable, weatherproof switching regulator is used to power the fuel pump for the engine preheater on a Morbark Model 1500 industrial tub grinder at a reduced voltage to allow adjustment of the fuel mix ratio. The 2-sided PCB, measuring less than 2.5" (63.5mm) square, is a surface mount application of a 3rd-party controller IC. Enclosed in a weathertight cast-aluminum case with durable, weathertight switches and carefully sealed openings, the design fills the need and is flexible enough to be utilized for other voltage regulation applications
